It was a beautiful, clear, cool night last night when I decided to take a 3.2 mile run. Time: 26:15 I felt pretty winded when I finished and my lungs hurt a little bit with very deep breaths. Apparantly that's normal for someone with asthma such as myself. And when it's nice and crisp outside it makes it even worse. But it still felt really good.
It's understood that I probably shouldn't be worrying about speed this ealry in my running career. I'v been running about a year now. With asthma and a heavy smoker for 10 years. So I'll continue to focus on distance for now. Slow and steady wins the race, right? Whatever. Speed will come. But I think, considering how fu**ing bright my shoes are, I'm sure it must LOOK like I'm running fast. They even glow in the daylight they're so bright. I'll post a picture of them in a minute, once I get off the toilet.
